During May 2023 with a solo exhibition at the Landbouwbelang in Maastricht, NL, this experimental installation of 5m stitched used coffee sack material was innoculated with mycelium spawn and left to grow within the space for 16 days. The first attempt of using mycelium within the material hoped to record the development of moulds and fungi which gradually consumed the installation. Throughout the experimental process the meaning of decay as an art process was considered, to distort the understanding between art piece and living organism.
