Embroidery Studies

2022 - 23 I natural linen thread on paper and cotton I various sizes

The following studies were created to show the capabilities of embroidery and stitchwork as a process.

The use of embroidery to develop my thought process, with its delicate threads woven through fabric, offers a profound medium for exploring the intricate interplay of nature, human fragility, and the passage of time. In its rhythmic stitching, we trace the contours of existence each thread, a subtle reminder of the tension.
