'From the cradle to the grave'
2023
(local clays, coffee sacks, linen thread, separating funnel, local waters, ivy, grass, moss)
Suspended from the stable ceiling, a hand delicately cradles vines made from a coffee sack,
their tendrils weaving between its fingers. Throughout the course of the exhibition, a
separating funnel drips water onto the sculpture, subtly nurturing the plants it encases. As the
water feeds the flora, it simultaneously accelerates the degradation of the raw clay hand,
which, over time, begins to crack and fragment. Eventually, it falls to the ground—an
evocative metaphor for the decay of humanity's role as a polluter, giving way to the
resurgence and regeneration of nature.
