Beginning 2023 with a solo exhibition at De Meldkammer in Maastricht, NL this installation of 3 clay hands represents a visualisation of the passage of time. Each using locally sourced clay and water retrieved from 3 locations: The artist's farm in Clutton UK, The Jan van Eyck Academy in Maastricht and Elisenbrunnen in Aachen. 

 

The three hands were fired to different temperatures and over the course of two weeks gradually decayed at different rates due to the continuously dripping water from the separating funnels positioned above. This experimental piece hoped to reflect the personal connection of memory and time in relation to place.
